| | | Janie Urbanic (Founding Director of South Loop Village) will present materials she has put together as a library take-away kit. Rev. Dr. Dawnn M. Pirani Brumfield (United Church of Hyde Park) will talk about creative drama as a way to keep mind active. Plus there will be opportunity to share what you do (games, music, etc) to stimulate your mind.

Presented by the Chicago Area Village Collaborative Aging Brain & Body series | | | The Chicago Area Villages Collaborative has partnered with Person Centered Care Solutions to offer a virtual presentation addressing fall prevention. Many individuals have fallen or have a concern about the risk of falling, whether at home or while out and about. This presentation will be led by a physical and occupational therapist and will address the intrinsic and extrinsic causes of falls, how to determine if you are at an increased risk for falls, as well as the relationship between fear of falling and fall prevention. There will also be a discussion surrounding fall risk in an individual who is facing cognitive changes or a dementia or other neurodegenerative disease diagnosis. | Tech Café

UChicago alumna and Founding Curator of the Curt Teich Postcard Archives Collection, which is now at the Newberry Library, will speak about the history and significance of picture postcards. Hyde Park resident and tenth president (and first woman president) of the Newberry Library, Astrida Orle Tantillo, will provide words of welcome. Attendees are invited to bring postcards of interest for discussion.
