This is an excellent opportunity to explore and patronize Hyde Park restaurants. Recent restaurants visited include: la petit folie, Ascione Italian Bistro, and the Promontory.

  • Let’s Do Lunch

Chicago Hyde Park Villagers lunching together! Come and share a meal, engage in good conversation, and meet new folks.

  • First Tuesday Dinner Salon

Chicago Hyde Park Village members join their friends and make new ones while enjoying an engaging program. The day starts with an exercise class, bridge and/or a socializing. A dedicated group of volunteers prepares lunch, which is shared by everyone prior to a participating in a program (topics vary).

Field trips/outings

Several times each year, the Chicago Hyde Park Village plans fun and adventurous outings. Recent outings include the Holocaust Museum, the Little Red Schoolhouse, and the Smart Museum.

Tech Cafe

Bring your burning tech questions and have them answered by tech savvy UChicago students. The sessions begin with a brief presentation followed by individual troubleshooting. Make sure to bring along your electronic device!

These yoga sessions incorporate gentle stretching, breath work, modified yoga poses and relaxation. Come breathe, relax, move, and have fun with your friends and neighbors at the Chicago Hyde Park Village! Classes improve strength and balance and take place either on a floor mat or chair.
