With Halloween coming and holiday gatherings not far behind, it’s important for everyone to stay up to date with their vaccines for illnesses like flu and COVID-19.

Flu season always surges over the holidays. Being vaccinated means you are less likely to get sick or to make others you care about ill. It’s important to protect your health and the well-being of those around you.

According to CDC data, 70-85% of seasonal flu-related deaths occur in older adults and nearly nine out of 10 deaths from COVID-19 are among people 65 and over.

Let's work together to change the data! Join us and representatives from University of Chicago Infection Prevention Outreach (UCIP) for this informative & lively community gathering to learn the latest vaccination information. Plus get all your questions answered whether about flu, Covid-19, RSV, shingles, or other infectious diseases! Take home plenty of resources including where to get vaccinated near you. Enjoy a delicious, healthy lunch with great conversation and wonderful friends, both longtime and new!
