Understanding the Maze of Medicare with Eric Slaughter

This event will cover the "ABC & D's" of Medicare, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage. Eric Slaughter has been taking care of Medicare clients for the past 20 years in 14 states, including Illinois. He transitioned from banking to helping clients with Medicare because he saw it as a way to help everyone, for free, no matter what their income or status.

The SHARE Network at the University of Chicago will begin offering a community workshop series focused on strategies for fall prevention and bone health. This program was created with input from SHARE Network healthcare experts and community members, and is designed to help older adults, community members, and care providers learn easy, engaging steps to stay safe and strong together. The format is flexible — the curriculum can be given in 4 hour-long sessions, as a single condensed course, or on a different timeline that works best for you. Topics include home safety, balance and strength exercises, eating for bone health, and tips for communicating with your healthcare team.
