GIVE A RIDE, MAKE A DAY
Become a CHPV Volunteer Driver!

Access to transportation is the number one concern for older adults nationwide, and rides are CHPV’s most frequently requested service. To keep this vital resource available to our members, we need more volunteer drivers! Learn more or contact us to volunteer.

  • What you’ll do: Drive members to medical appointments, grocery stores, or CHPV social events.
  • What you need: Your own vehicle, auto insurance, an up-to-date driver's license, and a willingness to offer a supportive arm or open a door. (Plus, volunteer mileage may be IRS tax-deductible!)
  • The impact: You keep our community connected and independent.
What our drivers are saying:

Driving has been a really rewarding experience for me. In addition to playing a part in Village's mission of allowing people to age in place, it has given me the opportunity to meet members of our community that I never would have met otherwise.
