All CHPV Members are invited to register! This is an excellent opportunity to learn from other Villages and stay engaged with the Village movement at the national level.
 
You must be a current CHPV member and register through CHPV to receive the early-bird, group discount. The virtual conference is held September 29-30, 2025.

Volunteer with us at the CHPV Table during the Hyde Park Farmers Market. Volunteer once a month for an hour or two (or more!)
 
Any time between 9am and 2pm on the following dates:
Fourth* Sunday, August 24
Third Sunday, September 21

*Customarily on the third Sunday, except August this year is the fourth Sunday.

This is great visibility for CHPV, a good chance to see friends, and an opportunity to share about what we do and how we help both individuals and the community.
 
The Hyde Park Farmers' Market is held every Sunday 9am-2pm through September in the parking lot behind the Hyde Park Bank building on Old Lake Park Avenue between 54th Street and the HP Bank drive-thru windows. The market is free and open to the public. Local vendors offer fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, drinks, crafts and other merchandise.

Pitch In for the Parks
At any of Chicago's 600+ parks, community volunteers  pick up litter, support park green spaces, and participate in any additional activities provided by the host. Free & family friendly. Chicago Public Library Partners with AI Safety Awareness Project for two types of workshops at various library locations throughout August: one for a general audience and another specifically designed for older adults. No prior experience or knowledge of AI is required. The AI Safety Awareness Project is a volunteer organization dedicated to raising awareness about modern AI, highlighting its benefits and risks, and informing the public on how they can contribute to AI safety.
