Beat the Heat This Summer!
City Cooling Centers are Open Today 8am - 7pm!

DFSS's six community service centers operate as cooling centers and are open today from 8am - 7pm. Chicago Parks & Chicago Libraries also serve as cooling centers during extreme heat. Check in with your local park, library, or police station for cooling center locations & hours.

Call 3-1-1 to find your nearest cooling center and for wellbeing checks!

The Garfield Center is available 24/7 to connect residents to emergency shelter.
