CHPV is pleased to support the Dementia Friendly Cruise Down the Chicago River! Families (person with diagnosis + guest) can experience this unique, 2-hour ride with their loved one diagnosed with memory impairment in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy the beauty of Chicago’s iconic skyline and historic architecture from inside or outside the glass-topped Odyssey boat! The boat is wheelchair accessible with elevator access to the dock. Allow extra time for arrival. Generous sponsors have made it possible for this event (valued at $200 a pair) to be provided for only $25.00 per pair. Cruise staff will be oriented to the dementia-friendly, accessible experience by Elite Cruises and Vacations Travel.
Volunteers are needed to help with wayfinding! Contact Amy Keefner (see above) for more information.
