The Chicagoland Villages Collaborative invites you to an Aging Brain & Body Event: HOW TO TALK WITH YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT YOUR AGING ISSUES Tuesday, October 18 2-3pm Central Free, via Zoom
Dr. Thompson will discuss how we can get the most from a visit with our doctor beyond addressing current maladies. She will suggest and encourage discussion on often overlooked topics which can greatly increase our quality of life as we age. Dr. Katherine Thompson is an Associate Professor of Medicine at The University of Chicago Medical Center and sees patients at the South Shore Senior Health Center. In 2014, she founded the South Side Healthy Aging Resource and Education (SHARE) Network to bring information and programs to communities that lack trained specialists to address the unique health needs of older residents, their families and caregivers. She also co-directs the University’s Successful Aging and Frailty Clinic and has collaborated on dozens of panels and scholarly articles. Her many honors include a University of Chicago Biological Science Division Distinguished faculty Award.
