Hyde Park Stories: Harold Washington and His Legacy, A Celebration of His 100th Birthday

Help continue the 2022 celebration of Mayor Harold Washington’s 100th birthday and legacy as the first elected Black Mayor of Chicago and resident of Hyde Park by recounting your memories about him at this special event. Your 4 minute story will be recorded and stored in the HPHS archives for future generations to learn about the rich history of this distinguished figure who also represented Hyde Park/Kenwood in the IL State Legislature. Bring photos, posters, and other memorabilia to share with everyone.
