Dear CHPV Community,

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of Dorothy Pytel from her staff role at Chicago Hyde Park Village at the end of this year. Dorothy has been an invaluable part of the CHPV team, bringing her unwavering dedication, compassion, and creativity to every aspect of her work.

Her contributions to our mission of fostering a “neighbors helping neighbors” community have been nothing short of extraordinary. Whether it was connecting volunteers with those in need, organizing engaging programs, or offering her warm support to members and staff alike, Dorothy’s presence has left an indelible mark on all of us.

While our regular interactions with Dorothy will change, they will not end. I am pleased to share that she will transition to a volunteer role at CHPV to serve us in our development and fundraising efforts. So some of you may continue to enjoy working closely with her.

As she embarks on her next chapter, we express our deepest gratitude for her service and wish her every success in her future endeavors. Dorothy is and will always be a cherished member of the CHPV family.
