For our December staged reading, Hyde Park Community Players present Holiday Children's Stories. Is winter not complete without some special story? Perhaps the Gift of the Magi, or the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, or The Night Before Christmas? Snowmen at Night? Come be a child again, and hear some favorite tales about the magic of the season, performed by your talented HPCP friends. As always, home-baked snacks will be served. Unlike most of our readings, this one will begin at 7, rather than 8, to accommodate younger audience members! At Augustana Church, 5500 S Woodlawn, 7 pm, $5, and Kids attend free.
