Moderated by Monica Chadha (Founder, Civic Projects; Member of the Exhibition Design Team, Obama Presidential Center).

Join newly appointed Director of the Museum of the Obama Presidential Center, Dr. Louise Bernard, along with interdisciplinary members of the Exhibition Design Team, for this conversation about the work of the Obama Presidential Center and the Museum's role as an innovative social and cultural institution.

Louis Bernard is the former Director of Exhibitions at the New York Public Library. She previously served as a senior content developer at Ralph Appelbaum Associates, and as a Curator at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University. Amanda Williams, a visual artist and architect, is well known for her series, Color(ed) Theory and her work is currently on view as part of the Chicago Works series at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Andres Luis Hernandez is an artist and educator committed to collaborative and community-based work, currently working on a range of projects with the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. The panel will be moderated by Monica Chadha, Founder of Civic Projects, a hybrid architecture practice in Chicago that takes a participatory approach to design, building teams and working collaboratively to develop work that address community revitalization. Projects include the Virginio Ferrari Contemporary Arts Center and strategic planning for the Chicago Torture Justic Center. Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA) is the project lead for exhibition design and interpretive planning. Presented in partnership as part of the co-curated program with the Palais de Tokyo.
