Earth Day: Promise and Peril
Rev. Teri Schwartz, 10 a.m., Sanctuary

Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee says, “We are the first generation to feel the sting of climate change, and we are the last generation that can do something about it.” In a social and political context that denies science and abdicates moral responsibility, we gather to grieve pain of climate change — and to celebrate the promise and possibility of our own agency and the transformation that is still yet possible.

First Forum: The Cook County Forest Preserves
11:45 a.m., Chris Moore Parlor
Arnold Randall, General Superintendent of the Forest Preserves of Cook County (and a member of this church), presents on the history, operations, programs, challenges and volunteer opportunities of our county's forest preserves. Sponsored by the Green Sanctuary Group.
