Join your friends and neighbors aboard the H.M.S. Pinafore with the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company and University of Chicago Chamber Orchestra. Purchase tickets during CHPV's Drop-In event at the discounted rate of $15 (general admission $25). Payment in check or cash.

Nichols Park Fieldhouse is closed Monday, February 20 due to the Presidents' Day Holiday. Mahjong is canceled and Scrabble will gather informally at 12:30 at Jimmy's Woodlawn Tap.

IN MEMORIAM
 
Judith Ann Allen
1934–2023
 
Judith Ann (Tyskling) Allen of Hyde Park passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 7, 2023. She was born in Chicago on January 9, 1934. Judith was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Russell Allen, father Lars Martin Tyskling, mother Antoinette (Mohr) Tyskling, sister Karen Beth Tyskling, brother Marty Joe Tyskling and son Brian Joseph Allen. Judith is survived by her sister Linnea Keith Kelly and her husband Jack, daughter in-law Sue Allen and grandsons Matthew, Bradley, Benjamin, Nathan and Christopher, son Shawn Allen and wife Cynthia and grandchildren Isabelle and Russell, daughter Lisa Allen and husband Joshua Cohen and grandsons Eli and Asher.

Judith donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.

Memorial Mass will be on June 24, 2023 at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5472 S Kimbark Ave, Chicago Illinois 60615 (773-324-2626), gathering in the Church lobby from 10-10:45.

Per Judith's wishes, donations may be made in her memory to:
