Do you know how to communicate your goals for your health and health care to your doctor? Dr. Williams will discuss how to communicate what matters most to you and the importance of the health care team’s understanding what matters to older adults. What Matters is one of four core issues identified by the Institute For Healthcare Improvement as key to providing effective age friendly healthcare.<br /><br />Dr. Williams is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at UCM. Her clinical, scholarly, and leadership focus lies in providing culturally competent care and support to patients and their caregivers in the health care and community setting. Dr. Williams is Director of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine Education at Pritzker School of Medicine.
