What is this?
The announcementof the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park has generated both excitement and concern among South Side residents. An extraordinary opportunity for increased investment in our neighborhoods, parks, and businesses, the Center's future location in Jackson Park has spurred a proposal for the creation of a professional-level golf course and the purchase of many vacant properties in Woodlawn, South Shore, and Washington Park.
As various plans and proposals for South Side development have been presented in recent weeks, community members have sought an opportunity to voice their questions, criticisms, and ideas—to help inform and shape plans for development as they move forward.
To that end, Experimental Station will host:
A Community Conversation on South Side Development

Tuesday, July 25
,
7-9pm
6100 S. Blackstone Avenue
